Interested in Joining the Fun?
The Frederick Amateur Radio Club welcomes all who are interested in Amateur Radio, whether already licensed in the Amateur Radio Service, wanting to obtain a license, or simply curious as to what Ham Radio is all about. Please feel free to drop in to a monthly meeting or two to learn more about FARC. Our meeting schedule is listed on the Club Calendar under the Events menu or you can click the link.
If you’re ready to join, we offer two membership categories. Applicants who are already licensed Amateur Radio operators are eligible for Full membership in the FARC. Full members can run for FARC office and vote on matters before the Club.
Applicants who are not yet licensed, but working toward obtaining an FCC Amateur Radio license, are eligible for Associate membership. Associate membership is also open to spouses and others who support Amateur Radio, but simply wish to enjoy the social and other benefits of Club membership without holding an FCC license. Associate members are not eligible to run for FARC offices or vote on Club matters. Associate members who attain the FCC Amateur Radio Service license are automatically converted to the Full member category.
Annual dues are $15.00, payable upon application, and on a calendar-year basis for renewal. (For new members who join in the latter months of a year, renewal dues are typically waived for the next calendar year.)
You can pay the yearly dues here if you wish to use PayPal:
Please use this FARC_Membership_Form_v2013-PDF – in Adobe PDF format or the FARC_Membership_Form_v2013-DOC – in MS Word DOC format (which is available for those whom do not use the form below). Please print it out and complete it, then bring it with you to the next FARC meeting. See you there!
