Because we cannot meet in person right now, there is a every other week Zoom meeting that is open to any amateur radio operator or anyone that is interested in amateur radio. This is not a club sponsored event and is open to everyone. It happens every other Wednesday at 6:30pm EDT and we go to at least 8:30 and sometimes longer
More InfoJune 20th, 2020 @ 11 AM:
Because of the COVID-19 situation we have missed 2 testing sessions already this year. We have people that are waiting to test and decided to have a testing session on June 20th. This will be one unlike we have ever done before. Because we are still limited by the number of people we can have inside in a group, we are going to do the testing outside.
For at least this June session we are going to setup tables in my front yard and driveway so we can have a testing session. We are also adding some additional requirements like masks, one time use tests instead of our regular booklets and more. You can find the details here: http://frederickarc.org/ham-radio-testing/. If you are interested in testing be sure to read that page so you know everything that is required. Also, please pre-register for the test from the link on that page.
I have one popup that I can use to help keep everyone out of the sun (or rain) but if you have one we could borrow we can setup a couple.
We will also need some VE’s for this session. I am curious to see how large of a turnout we have since testing has been basically not happening for a few months.
I would like to Take the general license exam.
I hold a technician license and will bring a copy along with my FRN number and government ID.
