Shine up the antennas and charge the batteries – it’s Field Day season! The Frederick County Amateur Radio Club (www.frederickarc.org) invites you to visit us on weekend of June 22/23 at Remsberg Park in Middletown (7408 Holter Rd, Middletown), as we participate in the national Amateur Radio Relay League (www.ARRL.org) annual Field Day. During Field day, radio enthusiasts nationwide set up temporary communications stations. This allows operators to both hone their skills and ensure adequate preparedness in the event of an emergency. We welcome visitors to come ask questions, give it a try, and generally hang out. Our setup begins early in the day, but actual operations go from 2pm Saturday until 2pm Sunday (yes, we go all night). Stop by any time to say hello.
