Welcome to the Frederick Amateur Radio Club!

Its finally here! The Indoor/Tailgating Event will take place on Monday March 16 at the Social Hall in the rear of the Independent Hose Company 310 Baughmans Ln. in Frederick. Doors open at 6:00 and we will be offering items for sale, license testing, door prizes and more. Admission is free to all! Non-members can reserve two tables for $20. With the dwindling number of ham fests in Maryland this looks to be the event of the season. Hope to see you there!

At our January meeting the club elected officers for the coming year. Emmett Bonner WA4UWD is once again the Secretary, Gary “Smitty” Smith N3DCA is our new Vice President and Brian Rozelle AB3RW returns as President. Plans were made for our March event. We are looking for members to assist in setting up for the event and to help with testing at the event.

We will also welcome Phil Stalnaker W3ICF and several others with an informative presentation on Icom radios and D-Star at our February meeting. Anyone wishing to learn a little more about either of these topics are invited to join us Monday February 16 at 7:00 in the Social Hall at the Independent Hose Company fire station on Baughmans Ln. in Frederick.
