The Maryland/DC QSO Party is fast approaching. We will be operating a contest station at the Red Cross in Walkersville this Saturday August 9 from 3 pm until midnight. Club stations are worth extra in the contest so come out and help your fellow hams score some points. Hope to see you there.

Read MoreField Day is fast approaching time to sharpen your skills and get ready to hit the air. This year we will be working from the Frederick County Red Cross. The location is 2 E. Frederick St. in Walkersville. It starts at 2:00 pm and setup begins at 1:00. The event runs through 5:00pm on Sunday and we are looking for operators to helps us out at anytime during the day or night. Stop by to show your support or work a few stations. See you there.

Read MoreIt’s that time of the month again!!! Our regularly scheduled meeting is Monday June 16th at 7:00 pm in the Social Hall at the Independant Hose Company building on Baughmans Ln. We will be finalizing our plans for field day as well as our upcoming contests. There will also be someone visiting from the Frederick News Post to gather information about our club and hobby. We want to have as many members there as possible so they can get the full FARC experience and see what Ham radio is all about. Hope to see you there!
