Our Club callsign is K3ERM. The FARC traces its roots back to the earlier days of Amateur Radio (1933), when the Frederick Amateur Radio Transmitting Society (FARTS) was formed. Although we are justifiably proud of our FARTS heritage, the Club in later years adopted our present name, which results in a somewhat more polite acronym.
Today, the FARC operates two repeaters in the Frederick area and participates in several public activities. We are affiliated with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).
We appreciate your interest in our Club, and invite you to browse our web site further to learn more about us, our activities and projects. If you are interested in joining the fun and stimulating hobby of Amateur Radio and at the same time helping our community, please click on the Membership tab at the top of the page. Visit the Activity tab or click here, for a complete schedule of activities, including the FARC monthly meetings.
