Welcome to the Frederick Amateur Radio Club!

We are please to announce that FARC will be offering license testing sessions. We have become affiliated with Laurel VEC and hope to meet the needs of hams wishing to upgrade or anyone wishing to get their first license. As with all exams handled by Laurel VEC the testing will be free of charge. Our next scheduled testing session is August 17 at 6:00 pm and will be held in the Social Hall at the Independent Hose Company fire station located at 310 Baughmans Ln. in Frederick. An Additional session is scheduled for November 23 at 6:00 pm. We are still looking for hams who are willing to become VEs to assist in these sessions.

Our next regularly scheduled club meeting will be on Monday April 20 at 7:00. We will be in our usual location in the Social Hall at the Independent Hose Company fire station on Baughmans Ln. in Frederick. We will be welcoming Phil Stalnaker W3ICF who will give a presentation on D-Star. Hope to see you there

Due to the recent problems with the 147.060 repeater the weekly ARES net will take place on the club repeater 146.640. Check back for updates as they become available.

A big thank you to everyone who helped to make our Big Event a huge success last night. We had great turnout and a lot deals were made over the course of the night. FARC also held a license testing session last night. I would like to send a very big thank you to George Brown K3GBB for helping to make the session a success. Looking ahead to our next meeting April 20 Phil Stalnaker W3ICF will present his rescheduled presentation on D-Star. Hope to see you there.
