Welcome to the Frederick Amateur Radio Club!

Once again we will be holding an ARRL sanctioned hamfest. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday March 19 from 8:00-12:00. The action takes place in the social hall at the Independent Hose fire station at 310 Baughmans Ln in Frederick. We will be holding a license exam session and there will be a raffle. Tables are available for $20 through Jeff Fishman KB3FIO by contacting him at ljfish1@comcast.net or by phone at (240) 285-6596 . The talk-in frequency is 146.580. Hope to see you there.

The first meeting of the new year will be Monday January 18 at 1900. We are meeting in the social hall at the Independent Hose Fire Station on Baughmans Ln. in Frederick. We are looking for candidates for club officers and we need to work on the 2016 schedule. Hope to see you there.

It is with sadness that we note the passing of past club president Steve Bauman W3FOA. From all of us at FARC we send our heart felt condolences to his family. We will save a place for him further down the logbook.

With the new year fast approaching don’t forget all club memberships need to be renewed after January first. They are still $15 per person or just over a dollar a month (WOW, that’s CHEAP!). We also need any nominations for officers for next year, especially for Secretary and Treasurer.

There has been a change of plans for the Christmas Party. Our first choice is unavailable that night so we will be having our party at the Flaming Grill on W. Patrick St. near the Kmart. The party will be held on Monday December 21 at 1830. I hope to see everyone there.
